Operations & Enterprise Platforms

Every growing business runs some part of itself on a spreadsheet that one person understands. It works, until the month it does not, and by then it is holding real money. We build the systems that replace those: internal platforms, billing and pricing engines, and the operational software a company eventually has to build because nothing off the shelf matches how it actually works.

Services included

  • Internal operations platforms

The system your team uses all day rather than the one customers see. Movements, records, approvals and reporting, designed around how the work is actually done rather than how a generic tool assumes it is done.

  • Billing and pricing engines

Rate cards, tiered pricing, minimums, exceptions and the arithmetic underneath them. Charges calculated once, at the point the event happens, and stored against the record that produced them, so an invoice is a sum rather than a reconstruction.

  • Reporting and dashboards

Numbers that are derived from records rather than typed into a summary. If a figure looks wrong, you can follow it back to the transactions behind it instead of arguing about which file is current.

  • Legacy and spreadsheet migration

Getting years of existing records in without losing them. Every row validated before it lands, and the old numbers reconciled against the new system before anyone relies on it.

How we work

  1. Learn the operation, not the requirements. Requirements documents describe what someone thinks the process is. We look at the actual records, the actual exceptions and the actual month end, because that is where the rules really live.

  2. Reconcile before we build. Where there is an existing process producing numbers, we reproduce its outputs from its own source data first. That is how you find the rules nobody wrote down.

  3. Model the domain honestly. Rates, units, exceptions and edge cases get modelled as they are, not simplified into something tidier that breaks in month three.

  4. Verify against real records. The acceptance test is that the system reproduces known-good periods from source data, line by line, not that the screens work.

  5. Go live alongside the old process. Both run in parallel until the numbers agree, so nothing is cut over on faith.

Why work with us

  • We reconcile rather than assume.

Where there is an existing process, we prove the new system reproduces it before anyone is asked to trust it.

  • We model the exceptions.

The rounding rule, the once-per-day charge, the minimum that applies to some lines and not others. Those are the reason off the shelf software does not fit.

  • We have done this on live money.

WareFlow, our warehouse and 3PL platform, prices and bills real operations daily.
